At Fierce we want everyone to feel comfortable and confident in their training, which is why we designed the Ladies Lifting Club classes.
These classes go through the techniques involved in using free weights such as dumbbells and barbells and include movements such as the bench press, squat and deadlift.
The aim of these classes is for the members who attend them to then confidently train in the gym on their own knowing they have been taught how to correctly and safely perform the exercises.
Those who attend learn how to structure an effective training routine that can be tailored to their specific requirements or time constraints, they learn what exercises can work well together and what muscle groups are being worked.
These classes run during the daytime and evening to try and ensure we capture all of those members that need that additional bit of help or who want to venture into the world of strength training.
Whilst we do not set a limit of how long members should attend the classes for, we run theses on a rolling 6 week basis and find that members will usually attend for a 12 week period before they feel more confident about moving on to perform these exercises alone or with other members who have attended the sessions so it is also a great way for them to make gym friends and find a training partner at the same level as them.
