As part of our new partnership with MK Hospital we ran a Charitable Challenge at Fierce in August the aim being to raise money for the Cardiology department refurb.
The challenge was to ascend and descend Everest in a week a total of 58,070 ft
Members and staff were encouraged to have a go to see how many ft they could climb as well as donating to the just giving page for MK Hospital.
Some people had repeated of attempts throughout the week and the number of ft recorded by individuals ranged from 500ft to over 12,000ft!
We smashed our target hitting closer to 60,000ft and managed to raise £420
All those who had a go got a Fierce Medal, the highest contributor in terms of ft climbed got a T-shirt, goody bag and a medal and everyone who entered also got entered into a 3 month membership draw the winner was announced at the end of the week!
